    The village of Savonnières

    This charming village, where the Cher crosses through, is labelled “green station”. In the heart of a natural setting, beautiful walks or bike rides are to be expected. On the river side, take advantage of the fine weather and recharge your batteries during a canoe/kayak trip from the campsite, without forgetting to take a picnuc with you to enjoy a relaxing moment on the banks of the Cher.

    Falling in love in front of the most beautiful landscapes in which the longest river of France crosses through, and still being close to the Nature ? It’s the start of a cycling adventure… You are getting started to cycle along the Loire ? We are welcoming you at the campsite, which is directly located on the Loire à Vélo itinerary. Travel light: the campsite is meant to receive our cycling friends!

    Château & Jardins of Villandry.

    Get amazed at the magnificient Château de Villandry and its Jardins à la Française, only 3 kms away from the campsite. From the Renaissance era to the XXth century, the Gardens have changed a lot. Enjoy all the colourful creations throughout the seasons. Do not forget to buy your reduced price tickets at the reception of the campsite!

    Petrifying Caves of Savonnières.

    Halfway there, the Petrifying Caves of Savonnières will bring an unusual touch to your visits: something to occupy rainy or very hot days!
    These former quarries of limestone have now given way to a fascinating world of lights and shadows, where the Nature is the master.

    Castle of Langeais and Azay-le-rideau..

    On another historical note, discover the Castle of Langeais : treasure of the Renaissance era with medieval inspirations. This castle is located 13 kms away from the campsite. In the heart of the Loire Valley, this ancient royal estate has many different rooms to see, furnished with Middle-Age furnitures. Outside, take the time to walk in the beautiful park. In the summer, do not forget to attend the raptors shows and many other animations meant for the young and old!

    The beautiful village of Azay-le-Rideau is a must-see! This village is particularly famous for its incredible Renaissance castle, built under the reign of François 1er. This jewel from the past seems to be floating over water (brought by the river Indre) which brings a very romantic touch to its design. In the summer, nocturnal visits are organised with sounds and lights animations. A different and original way to enjoy your visit!
